Speckled Elegance

I love the design of floating beads. This is only one of a ton of necklaces in a series of flaoting jewelry I have made, including floating earrings. I tend to have OCD when I begin making things. Look for more!

Fortunate

I was watching an episode of DIY and they had a young lady making a necklace out of air dried clay that was in the shape of a fortune cookie. I thought it was the cutest thing and I decided I wanted one for myself. SCREAM!! They came out cute, cute, cute, as my 1 year old would say, a.k.a. Miriam. Enjoy! Garlinda

Learning new Tricks!

I guess you really can teach an old dog, new tricks. I finally broke down and purchased a new digital camera and started playing with various lighting tips I learned in magazines and the digital cam. manual. Here are some of my first photos. I think they turned out great!

Cute, Cute, Cute!

I mentioned it in my profile that I have a 5 year old, Caleb and a 1 year old, Miriam. The sun rises and sets on them. Well I mentioned them because Caleb helps me mix my clay as well as rolls beads. I love his beads because his hands are so little, he makes perfectly round beads. My baby girl on the other hand would rather eat the clay. I keep my clay under a cabinet in my kitchen so no light gets to it, which was a great idea until she figured out how to open the cabinet and decided she might want to taste my clay. I caught her before her little teeth made it through the wrapper. I decided that she is going to be my business critic! I make new stuff and if she likes it she will look at them and touch them and say CUTE, CUTE, CUTE. Does she have good tate or what? Or does she just know that mommy is a sucker for everything she does? I think it's the latter. Be blessed and have a creative day!

Cappucino Flair

For some reason I was in a brown mood today when uploading my pics. I have so much new jewelry made and a fellow artists told me to go ahead and open an Etsy store. My goal is to have the store up and running by next week. What are your goals this week or next week. Share them with me, let's put prayer to them and get them done. I am determined to live the life of my dreams. LET'S GO ON THIS JOURNEY TOGETHER!

Life is not a Dress Rehearsal

Today I spoke with so many friends who would like to do something other than what they are doing. I spoke with one friend who lost a loved one. I spoke with another friend who has a dream yet to be fulfilled. I would encourage you as I have encouraged my friends. Life is not a dress rehearsal. Live life to the fullest, without regrets. make your plan, plan your work, work your plan, and let God yield your increase. Be blessed. GARLINDA
